Multi-page scanning options are unavailable

Description

The following multi-page scanning options in the scanning dialog of ABBYY FineReader are unavailable:

Reason

First, find out if your scanner's drivers support multi-page scanning. You can find information about these drivers in the user manual for your scanner, on the website of the scanner's manufacturer. You can also get this information from the manufacturer's technical support service.

If your scanner's drivers support multi-page scanning, complete the following steps:

  1. Start ABBYY FineReader.
  2. Open the Tools menu and select Options.
  3. Select the Scan/Open tab.
  4. The Driver drop-down list should contain several scanner drivers. Try finding a driver for which the multi-page scanning options options are available by scanning an image using each one of them.

If the options remain unavailable with every driver, try using the scanner's interface instead of the interface of ABBYY FineReader. Follow the instructions below to switch to the scanner's native interface:

If none of them work, try scanning using the scanner's interface instead of the interface of ABBYY FineReader.

  1. Open the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Select the Scan/Open tab.
  3. Select the Use native interface option.
  4. Click OK.
