Scanned images are defective

Description

Scanned images are incomplete, contain black stripes or white fields, or are split into parts.

Solution

Follow the instructions below to fix this problem.

  1. Start ABBYY FineReader.
  2. Open the File menu and select the Select scanner item. 
  3. The Driver drop-down list should contain several scanner drivers. Try finding a driver that works by scanning an image using each one of them.

If none of the scanner drivers work, please contact technical support.
