Solution

Exporting documents recognized with ABBYY Recognition Server to Microsoft SharePoint

To find out answers to the above questions, please see this video, which shows how you can export recognized documents to a Microsoft SharePoint library.

ABBYY Recognition Server can save recognized documents directly on the Microsoft SharePoint server. This operation is performed in two steps:

  1. Creating a workflow in ABBYY Recognition Server.
  2. Processing documents and saving them to Microsoft SharePoint server.

First, the video explains what is an ABBYY Recognition Server workflow and shows how users can set up a workflow to export documents to Microsoft SharePoint. A connection to the Microsoft SharePoint server is set up by specifying the address of the server, the name of the destination library and folder, and file naming rules.

Next, the video shows how documents are processed in the created workflow . In this example, a three-page TIF document is used. This document is placed into the Input folder, automatically processed by ABBYY Recognition Server, and published to Microsoft SharePoint. Finally, the video displays the resulting PDF saved to the Microsoft SharePoint library and shows how you can find text strings in this document.
